Statement: I dedicate myself to sculpture by questioning what surrounds me, including everyday objects. I prefer to work with stone because, in a metaphorical sense, it is infinite. A stone can be small, large, or as vast as a mountain - it possesses an immeasurable quality. However, a block of stone has dimensions, proportions, and limits; it is already a sculpture in itself.
I imagine this dense matter as a dark space that envelops everything, where nothing is defined. It is the sculptor's task to provide orientation, movement, and direction. Only in this way can one reach an understanding of the limits of the sculpted body and an awareness of the surrounding space. I choose this approach in an attempt to free myself from conventions.
My intention is to represent what I feel, touch, and see, translating these experiences into the language of sculpture. Through my work, I aim to capture the essence of my perception and invite viewers to engage with it in a contemplative manner.
